Growing up, my hair was always one thing I never had to worry about. It was long, thick, and most of all durable. I was always impressed with how healthy it stayed despite the amount of heat and product I would use on it. I had dance competitions every weekend and ballet classes every week, so my hair was constantly being brushed back, pinned up, gelled down, teased up, etc, etc. In hindsight, I was not very nice to my locks at ALL.
As I've gotten older I've noticed my hair isn't able to bounce back like it used to. In the last few months, I've been under a lot of stress with work and my crazy schedule and it took a toll on my body and in turn, my hair. My baby hairs were unruly and crazier than ever! My hair seemed to be breaking and I was NOT having it. I happened to notice my bestie, Jess, had these Hairtamin vitamins at her place and she only had good things to say! So I reached out and gave them I go myself. What caught my eye was was that they were 100% drug and & chemical free and vegetarian capsules. The advanced formula is a synergistic formula of vitamins, minerals, and super antioxidants. If you've followed me long enough, you know what I really only use products that have clean ingredients so I felt Hairtamin was a perfect fit for a partnership. I've been taking it for a month now, and have already seen a difference. My broken baby hairs are much more manageable and I even noticed an improvement in my overall scalp health. I've struggled with dandruff for as long as I can remember and after a few weeks of consistently taking Hairtamin, my dandruff is much less. So happy to say that this product works and I'm happy to share it with you. You can check out Hairtamin for yourself at Hairtamin.com and use discount code OLIVAPASCALE for 15% off.

Back in July, I had the opportunity to be apart of a small group of local bloggers who got to learn first hand about a new, luxury skincare brand called, Lab To Beauty. My day was filled with a tranquil spa day at Lapis spa, located in the Fontainebleau. From start to finish, I had the most lovely experience learning all about the CBD-infused skincare line from the founders themselves. I was treated to the spas latest CBD-infused lavender massage which incorporated products from the Lab To Beauty line. Following the incredible treatment, I was treated to a tasty afternoon brunch (complimented by CBD infused cocktails of course), while simultaneously learning more about the Lab To Beauty products that we were taking home in our care package. It was easy for me to fall in love with this skincare line, considering it focuses on clean skin care. They believe in the pure potency of plants and that is always a value I appreciate. Although, I've experimented with and enjoyed using every product they graciously gifted to us, it's been a few months and I've found myself really loving these two products in particular. The The Quick Fix Serum and The Recovery Oil. Knowing my skin, it typically feels best when I follow a serum with an oil after. So this power duo is perfect for my dry skin. Though The Quick Fix Serum can be used in both the AM & PM, I like to apply it fresh out of the shower after washing my face. It gives my skin a plump and luscious feeling. The consistency of the product itself is gel-like, and once spread it is silky smooth, melting into the skin. I gently massage it, using a small, circular upward motion. The serum is known to reduce inflammation as well as tighten, lift, and firm. It is also one of the more moisturizing serums I've used. If my skin weren't as dry as it is, the serum would actually be hydrating enough by itself. Following the serum, I use The Recovery Oil all over my face and even over my lips. The nice thing about plant powered products is that you can trust it on most parts of your body without worrying about irritation. The oil repairs and replenishes my quenched skin for a clear and calm complexion. For being an oil, it feels lightweight on the skin. It feels nourishing and hydrating while also working to tighten, lift, and firm. The oil is known to boost collagen production while also building an antioxidant and rich moisture barrier. I just love applying this duo after a long day out. I can trust that the ingredients are clean and of the highest quality, knowing that they use supercritical CO2 extraction, which avoids the use of any harsh chemicals to obtain their concentrated pure cannabidoil. All Lab to Beauty formulas are third party tested for purity and potency and since it is the last thing I'm applying to my face before a long nights sleep, I couldn't feel more confident about letting my skin soak in the goodness. You guys know I only like to work with brands who share my core values so I'm happy to say that Lab To Beauty uses Sustainably Sourced, THC Free, Non-GMO CBD and that their Formulas are Vegan, Cruelty Free, and Gluten Free. The bottles are also amber glass to protect the light sensitive organic ingredients. Oh yeah, AND they use high quality recycled paper packaging. They really did think of everything. Plenty of studies show that what we consume throughout our days can have a direct effect on our skin conditions. Since the beginning of time, my mom has drilled into my head that drinking LOTS of water is the best thing I can do to prevent my skin from aging. I may or may not subconsciously drink more than the average person because of that reason (it worked). Ceramiracle reached out to me about their new Ageless Delight Beauty Chocolate Supplement and I was eager to try it out! (for obvious reasons). I mean, chocolate that’s good for you? No brainer. They’ve managed to bridge the gap between food and beauty. Personally, I think it's genius. Not to mention, this is the first clean-label sugar free dark chocolate beauty supplement in the market, so I was stoked to get my hands on it! When we think of our guilty pleasures, chocolate is at the top of the list for most of us. However, bet you didn’t know that dark chocolate contains nutrients that have a positive effect on your skin’s health as a powerful source of antioxidant. Not to mention, this supplement is sugar-free so there’s nothing to feel guilty about! Ceramiracle’s Ageless Delight Beauty Chocolate is infused with ingredients such as fucoidan, polyphenols, and phytoceramides that are all beneficial in supplementing your skin’s health. Here’s a breakdown:
As my readers know by now, clean ingredients are really important to me so I was thrilled to know that this supplement is vegan and contains no fillers, preservatives, or artificial flavors. It’s also cruelty free which is ALWAYS a brownie point for me (or chocolate point in this case). I’m happy to say, as a dark chocolate lover myself, that these chocolates totally satisfy my sweet tooth and I feel zero guilt when reaching for another one. (oops.) This sweet new addition to my skin care routine is fun, tasty, and beneficial in keeping my skin looking youthful and radiant.
If interested in trying the Ageless Delight Beauty Chocolate supplement yourself, you can find it on ceramiracle.com. It's that time of the year again and romance is in the air. Every store is overflowing with pink balloons, chocolate hearts, and flower bouquets that could fill an entire rose garden. While celebrating love and all of its magic, let's not forget about the most important love of all, self-love. It's easy to get carried away in the gift giving & date planning, but sometimes it's good (and necessary) to be a little selfish too. I don't typically splurge on things, but when I do, it's on skincare. (or sushi) Joanna Vargas recently sent me their skin care line, just in time for some Valentines Day self-care. I have fallen in love with their Vitamin C Face Wash that I've been using every night before bed. I naturally have very dry skin, and most cleansers that I use dry out my skin even more, regardless of the quality or cost. After using this face wash my skin feels smoother, more glowy, and overall nourished. While it washes off my make up and feels like a thorough clean, it is also very gentle and non-drying. I also love that it is not oily and doesn't leave any sort of oily residue on the skin. The product almost feels like a serum instead of a cleanser. After using the face wash for a few days, there was a noticeable improvement in my skins brightness. The main ingredients in the Vitamin C Face Wash are:
The beautiful thing about this product is that a little goes a long way. I use 1 pump on a facial scrubber and it is more than enough. Though it is a little pricey, I can justify spending good money on good products that I know I'll enjoy using every single time.
I am happy to partner with such a lovely brand that supplies products I truly love and believe in. If you would like to try any Joanna Vargas products for yourself or the Vitamin C Face Wash, you can use my code "OLIVIA" for a 20% discount at checkout. Thanks for reading, and happy valentines day. xx Love, Livv Everyone loves a good sun kissed tan, am I right? To me, a nice, natural looking tan just looks healthy. Nothing compares to having a glowy complexion, especially when it's full body. Cancun Collection sent me some sweet beach body accessories that I couldn't wait to try out. There's a few things that I love about this line right off the bat. First of all, the products are superfood infused. Second of all, they are vegan. And third of all, they are cruelty free. That's a win for me. I was most intrigued and interested to try the Cacao Photo Ready Body Bronzer which is known for its instant airbrush effect. So, not only does it provide an instant (and beautiful) tan, it also covers up blemishes and skin imperfections, delivering a flawless skin finish. It's basically a BB cream for the whole body. The bronzer left a beautiful, rich color on me that looked and felt natural. At first, when applying the bronzer, I wasn't used to the concealer like application, but once it settled I was so impressed with the color and finish it gave me. The concealing effect is actually really handy and is the first of it's kind that I've seen on the market! You don't have to worry about any blemishes, bruises, or discoloration, because the bronzer will take care of it. Whenever I feel like I need a helping hand in the tan department before a night out, I'll apply this to my body to achieve an instant glow. I love that at the end of the night I'm able to wash it off before bed without having to go through an awkward fading process like typical fake tanners. It's a one and done type of deal and I seriously love that. Before bronzing, I'll always make sure to exfoliate in the shower first to make sure my skin is nice and even for a smooth application and setting for the bronzer. Thanks for reading! If you have any questions about Cancun Collections products feel free to ask! Any comments about bronzers/self tanners? Leave them below!
Love, Livv. As you guys know, I love natural products, especially when it comes to beauty products. What so many people don’t realize is that the products we put on your skin is soaked up into our bloodstream! So I never understood why the products we put on our skin aren’t held to the same standard as what we put in our mouths. I’ve noticed quite a few companies introduce CBD beauty and skincare products. I was curious to find the best skincare routine that integrated CBD in their products. Diamond Hemp sent over a few products that I was super excited to try out. What most people know about CBD is that it can be in an oil form and also taken in edible form, but CBD is also a great ingredient to include in beauty products due to its natural benefits. It’s known to be rich in vitamins A, C and E. These vitamins help keep skin firm and healthy, help stimulate collagen production, and help reduce signs of aging. Not to mention, they’re also known to help with inflammatory-related conditions like skin allergies, rosacea, eczema and psoriasis. They sent over a lovely Hemp Butter Scrub which was a total hit for me. I love a good scrub and like anything else, when it’s natural it feels 100% better because I can use it in good conscious. Just a quick glance at the ingredients list and I already felt confident in what I was putting on my skin. Organic Shea Butter, Sweet Almond Oil, Organic Aloe Leaf Oil, Mango Seed Butter, Organic Coconut Oil, the list goes on. This scrub can be used gently on your face or on any area of the body. For me, I focus on my dry spots like my knees, elbows, and ankles because I know those areas need all the help they can get. I used it in the shower because it can get a little messy! First impression of the scrub was that it smelt scrumptious…get it? Scrumptious Scrub? Okay. In all seriousness, the tropical smell was already a thumbs up for me. The product felt great while exfoliating and left a nice moisturizing after effect on the skin. The only thing I will say is that I wish the product came in a bigger size because I like to be generous with scrubs and if used daily, it will run out fast. But like I always say, especially when it comes to skincare products, I’d rather take quality over quantity so I can’t complain too much. This product sells for $49.99 on their website which is in the same price range as typical luxury body scrubs you’ll find in big box beauty stores. After the Butter Scrub in the shower, I followed it with the Hemp Antioxidant Cream for extra hydration. Like the scrub, the cream can be used for both the face and the body. The smell is heavenly and it leaves a light residue on the skin before being absorbed. Nothing too heavy. I was most excited to try out their Hemp Antioxidant Facial Serum. I just love trying new serums out, especially when they are natural! I applied the serum right after I got out of the shower to make sure my face was squeaky clean before application. My first impression was noticing how light the product felt on my face. This is always a good sign. There is nothing I hate more than heavy face moisturizers that feel more like a mask than a moisturizer. Once applied, the serum felt light and clean and after a few moments to soak in, my skin felt revived. My skin felt soft, but not oily which is a nice change for me since I typically moisturize with oil. Because the serum is concentrated, a little bit goes a long way! You really only need a pea sized amount. If it feels too heavy, you might have used a little too much. It should feel super light-weight and fresh. All in all, I am a fan of these products and would recommend them to any friend. Like I said before, I will always take quality over quantity, especially when you are talking about products that are going on our skin and then into our bloodstream. I can’t stress that enough! There’s some things in this life that I am willing to pay more for, and one of them is good skincare products that I can feel confident about using. It’s so important to know what ingredients are in your beauty products, especially when so many companies are putting fillers and harsh chemicals in their products. Thank you Diamond Hemp for sharing these lovely products with me.
Thanks for reading! Have you guys tried CBD products yourself? What are your thoughts or questions/concerns? Leave a comment below! For years, when I would mention anything about cutting my hair all I ever heard was "don't do it". Don't do it because I'll look younger, or I won't be as sexy, or because my hair is too pretty to be wasted. I was flattered, but it wasn't what I wanted to hear. Of course, I loved having long hair. It WAS sexy, mermaid-like, yada yada. After all, I've had long hair for majority of my adult life. Last time I had it shorter was in 6th grade so I kind of believed people when they said it'd make me look younger. Which is usually a good thing for women in their 20's but I'm not there yet. I listened to everyone and kept my hair long. I hated every minute of it. It was heavy and would literally weigh down my head. To the point where if I hadn't washed it in a few days it would get heavier and physically hurt my head. Whether it was in a pony tail, bun, or even down sometimes, it hurt! Having it down was impossible, you guys know I'm all about comfort so the amount of inconveniences accompanied with it being down just wasn't worth it. 1) It was hot- I live in Miami and I'd rather not feel like I have a towel around my neck suffocating me. 2) bending down or trying to get nearly anything done with my hair in my face blocking most of my peripheral vision was just annoying. 3) I did not have time or energy to style it most of the time. I really only liked it curled in beach waves so if I couldn't do that, up in a high bun it went. I complained about how much I wanted to chop my hair off all the time, my friends and boyfriend can vouch for that. Finally, last week I decided I was done. I was done inconveniencing myself for other peoples opinions. At that point, I really didn't care if I loved a short cut on me or not I just wanted it off. Also, once I realized that for the last month of living in LA I hadn't worn it down ONCE...I asked myself what the point of having long hair was? I was wearing it in a high bun for every occasion and when I did try to wear it down it'd go up within the first 30 minutes. Once I came to that realization, I totally got behind the idea of cutting it. So, I started my search on Pintrest for short hair cut styles and found the perfect length that gave me heart eyes. I knew I had to do it as soon as I saw these photos...these are actually the screenshots I took. So I went to my trusted hair dressers at Oren Salon, Shaked and Oren, who have been cutting my hair for the last year or so. I've built a friendship with them and knew I could trust them to give me exactly what I wanted.
Oren started to cut my hair and although there was a small part of me that felt panicked (naturally) it felt liberating. He took baby steps and cut a little at a time, which made me feel comfortable. Some chopping and styling later and before I knew it there I was with hair up to my collar bone. For the first few minutes, I was in a little bit of a shock, but I also felt like it looked so natural on me. As if it should have been that way the whole time. Since then, I have absolutely loved it. I feel a weight lifted off my shoulders and more importantly, MY HEAD. lol. It's fresh, it's fun, and ironically, even though I was known for my long hair, I think this is way more "me". I'll probably go even shorter next time. I'm still getting the hang of styling it and I need to get a hair curler with a smaller barrel to achieve the natural beachy wave but I've been wearing it straight and totally love that too. Moral of the story, don't be scared of change. And don't be scared to do something YOU want to do. At the end of the day, the most important opinion is your own. Love, Livv A huge THANK YOU to my family at Oren! Like most pre-teens do, I counted down the days until I got my braces off. The hope of every visit was crushed when my orthodontist would say “just a few more weeks”. It came to my sophomore year of high school and, well, not to sound dramatic but I was tired of his shit. Homecoming was in a few days and I was determined to have them off for the infamous “hoco pics”. Priorities right? My 15-year-old self thought she knew better than her well-educated orthodontist and insisted that they come off. Somehow, I was able to convince him. Fast forward 6 years (of not wearing my retainer- lets be real who ends up wearing those things) and my teeth were getting noticeable worse. They weren’t crooked, and still looked great from the front, but from a side angle they projected outward and it started to bother me, especially in photos. It wasn’t something I was necessarily insecure about (yet) but I knew if I didn’t do something about it, they would get progressively worse. So I looked into Invisalign. Considering my boyfriends mom is the manager of a dental office, I knew I had a team of professionals that I could trust on my side. The process was supposed to take about six months but ended up taking longer due to my time in LA. I am in no way here to give you professional dental advice, I'm just sharing my personal experience with the treatment. Here are the top questions I have gotten about my Invisalign experience: 1. How does it work?
All in all, I’m SO happy with my results and I have to thank the awesome team over at Advanced Dental Care of Pembroke Pines, FL for their incredible service.
If you are thinking about investing in Invisalign and it won't break the bank, I'd say go for it! A smile you are confident about from every angle is priceless! And if it means you will smile more often, hell- who doesn’t want that? Let me know if guys have any other questions and I will reply down in the comments below. Love, Liv. I was thrilled when a familiar brand reached out to me regarding their new skin care line. It's always exciting receiving new products and being able to give my feedback to the companies, but little was needed for these House of r5 products. The Contouring Skin Beauty Oil is a mix of natural oils that bring out your skins glowing beauty. Not to mention it smells like a sensual heaven. (the smell has a small hint of mens cologne- I'm not complaining) It has never been more true that great things come in small packages. The Moulin Rouge roll-on perfume oil is perfectly compact to slip in all of my purses (even the tiny ones) or even in my back pocket if I'm going purse-less. Serves as a perfect mid-day refresher.
